CK Consulting is directed at increasing opportunities for persons with disabilities in schools, employment settings, and the community at large. This is accomplished through direct consultation, group presentations and workshops to provide detailed understanding, direction and action planning for proven changes that impact acceptance for people who may learn, play and work differently.
Corporate Consulting
Armed with a wealth of knowledge and practical experience, Ms. Kidder is active on the speakers’ circuit, addressing the topic of employment for persons with disabilities with her unique blend of dry humor, honesty, anecdotal stories and functional strategies. Her corporate presentations move audiences to consider and contemplate the many commonalities shared with those once seen as different.

Educational Consulting
For Educators and Parents
CK Consulting makes inclusion work for districts and parents by offering concrete, positive steps for implementation. Ms. Kidder focuses on the realities of day-to-day inclusion of persons with disabilities in the general education setting. In doing so, collaboration between general education and special education is emphasized and accomplished.
Consultative services are offered to school boards, administrators, staff and parents. CK Consulting offers customized instruction for modifying curriculum for persons with Down syndrome and other disabilities. It assists universities in developing programs to accommodate persons with challenges into active student life. In addition to traditional consulting engagements, half and full day in-service consultations are also available.
Phone Consultations
Parents from all over the United States seek help with their child’s education. Since traveling to meet with them is impractical for the family as well as for Ms. Kidder, CK Consulting has initiated a phone consultation program for academic support. This is helpful for parents who are comfortable in the role of advocate for their child. Consultations are currently available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Contact us to schedule an initial consultation. You will be contacted within 48 hours. Once you agree on the time for an evaluation session, you will need to fax your child’s IEP to the CK Consulting office at 248-230-3146. This is an essential starting point for conversation and support. Even if you disagree with some of what is documented in the IEP, it is the legal framework for your child’s current education and therefore, the basis for our work together.
Consultations by phone are $75 for 45 minutes. Payment methods include credit card, check, and money order.

Together we can make a difference and help your child get the most out of his or her academic experience. Your child will benefit greatly from having access to the rich curriculum available to her peers. She can do it! You can do it!
